I did read somewhere recently Gromit that they had taken note of such ridiculous packaging and addressed the problem.
2 small items that I’ve received this week have backed this up (both were delivered through the letterbox) but obviously they haven’t quite got things totally right yet!

I've had despatch notification for a set of 20 LED fairy lights for Mrs SDA's door wreath today. Amazon sending it Royal Mail, so we'll see what size packaging that gets. Also waiting on some boot laces via Taunton Leisure and a set of 24 rechargeable AA batteries.

The latter were £16 for 8 or £22.40 for 24. So, £2 each or 93p each for exactly the same spec.

I’m completely with you on this SDA, I’ve had the same dilemma just this afternoon ordering some replacement heads for my electric toothbrush.
But.... I didn’t want 8 of the things (at a better price than 4).
The toothbrush or more likely my teeth will give up before I use up 8 brushes!
I guess if it’s something you know you will use then buy in bulk (which I often do) but not just because the bulk buy price is cheaper.

We've entered a similar 'deal' with the pills for one of our beardies. I happened to mention their enormous cost (circa £100 a month) on a forum and a member who had 6 months supply of one of the pills offered them to us at around half price. This has halved our monthly vet bill, but we had to layout the equivalent of 3 months cost upfront. If our old boy didn't last that long we'd have made a loss. As it is he's still with us and f he lasts at least another week we'll be in profit.

The pills were available because the forum members dog died shortly after they'd purchased 6 months supply. Our vet only let's us have a month at a time. Theirs gave out 6 month prescriptions.

But if the box was smaller they wouldn't get all the bubble wrap in. You need one of these.

I like the way the dog manages to destroy the box, whilst maintaining possession of the ball. So cute .

Ball or box, which shall I play with. shrugg
