Gas BBQ point
On the outside of our van there is the usual gas BBQ point. I'm looking at getting a Cadac Safari chef BBQ.
My question is do I need a hose and regulator or just a hose. Is it right or wrong to assume the point is regulated ?
I think the Cadac is called an LP which I believe means low pressure. Not sure about this though .
Thanks.

Re: Gas BBQ point
The gas point will be regulated Charlie. It's part of the same system as every other gas appliance in the van, all of whose gas passes through the bulkhead mounted regulator in the gas locker before it gets to any appliance.
If you get an LP barbecue that will be fine. The HP ones run at gas bottle pressure, and will be no good for you.
BTW, if any jobsworth says that for safety reasons you can't buy more than one metre of hose he's talking through his hat. Don't know where that myth began, but one metre of hose is potentially far more dangerous than two or three metres, both from the tripping-over-it possibility, and for keeping your barbie too close to the van.
Hope this helps

Re: Gas BBQ point
I've been using my Cadac Chef connected straight to the gas point no problem.
You will need a connector if there isn't one supplied. Enjoy!

Re: Gas BBQ point
You need a Bullfinch quick release hose connector. Do a search on eBay for gas point connector and they will show.
