SILVER BLIND MATERIAL
Anyone know, please, where I can buy the silver blind material from ?
It's for Seitz / Dometic roller blind and needs to be 1.5m wide (trim to size)
And final question - what is the correct name for the flexible nylon rod/strip
that slides into and retains the blind in the bottom rail ?
Thanks
Mikeyval

Leisure spares also stock it in 1000mm and 2000mm, both by 850mm. They are trade only though, so you would have to ask local dealer to get it for you.

Re: SILVER BLIND MATERIAL
Leisure Spares should be able to help with this:

When I wanted to repair some damage to one of my Seitz reflective side blinds,I had a chat with them on the phone and the price they quoted for a roll of material only (2m x 850) was actually more than the price for a complete replacement made up blind inc spring, retainer assembly etc. ready to slot in, so may be worth getting a quote for that as a comparison.
PS Just noticed Paul's response whilst I was typing this - not sure if that's a change in Leisure Spares policy, I ordered the bits I needed direct from them on a credit card but that was back in 2016

Re: SILVER BLIND MATERIAL
That's gone up a bit since I got mine, but that was still around £67 total then.
However it does look so much better than when I had some silver duck/duct tape on it as a temporary repair! And I had already had to re-tension the old spring a couple of times, the new one has been much better since, which is great as it's a pain to remove the cassette cover as some of the screws are very hard to get at.

Re: SILVER BLIND MATERIAL
No , my mistake, I just remembered when I wanted a Dometic fridge fan, Dometic rrp £54, Leisure spares £108 , asked a dealer and they quoted him £64, so it seems they want to rip off private buyers.rogerblack wrote:

Re: SILVER BLIND MATERIAL
After much searching I have found that the plastic rod, referred to in my post above is called a
Spline rod ----- " plastic spline rod for blinds"
Only place I could find it on sale was somewhere in the States
Anyone else know different ?
