AS Tropy Gas Locker Capacity
Hi,
The AS Trophy manual says the Trophy gas locker capacity is two 3.9Kg Propane or two 4.5Kg butane (both the same size). Has calor changed the sizes in the last 25 years because I can't get two bottles in the locker. Am I missing something? Real user experience appreciated.
Thanks

Probably nothing to do with your problem but I recently sold a 2005 Eriba Puck caravan that was also meant to hold 2 x 3.9kg bottles but I could only get one in.
On investigation, the bulkhead gas regulator had been replaced at some point and the new one fitted in a way that meant getting 2 bottles in was impossible.
What is actually impeding you fitting the second bottle?

Hi,
Where the flexible hose attaches to the manifold inlet seems to be the problem (protrudes into the locker about 1.5 inches). I suppose I'll have to use the wardrobe for the spare bottle or switch to camping gas cyliders - they're much smaller, but, much lower capacity.
What fun:confused3:

Re: AS Tropy Gas Locker Capacity
I have had 2x3.9 bottles in my first Topaz, similarly to a Trophy, takes a bit of maneuvering, but they do fit, in my present Topaz I only have the one bottle as I have yet to source another one. second hand if possible, don`t want to pay the hefty deposit.
In both of my vans there was / is access in the floor of the wardrobe to turn the gas on and off which is very handy.by lifting a bung in the floor.
