EC480 capacity question
Despite traveling over 70 miles today the capacity reading on my EC480 has not changed from this morning's capacity reading 96% when l set off.
I would have expected that to rise up to 100% after this morning 2hr+ drive.
Vehicle reading at 12.8 and Leisure at 13.1. Two new [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] installed two months ago. No sun today to feed the solar panel.
Any thoughts please as to the lack of increase on the capacity?

Re: EC480 capacity question
I can't help with your question but the entries are what happens when you copy from another forum or website that uses different font size, as you have done from MHF, you need to edit to Size 13 when copying in future.
As for your question, I hope someone with same control panel will come to your aid shortly.

Re: EC480 capacity question
The capacity indicator indication is from an algorithm that estimates start charge level, factors in charge/discharge time and then makes a guess at what the current charge level is. It's not a reliable indication as the actual battery voltage is.
The end result of a charge is a sum of the start charge level plus the charge. From wherever you start, two hours charge will increase your capacity by about 15%

Re: EC480 capacity question
I’ve long suspected that the % charge indicator does not register any battery recharge from driving the vehicle. Mine certainly never increases despit one journey being over 6 hours. The battery gets charged because the voltage is healthy after a run but the % never increases.

Sylvester
Have you set the ec480 as to the new batteries you have fitted
Did you fully charge the batteries and the set the ec480 to 100%
The ec480 has to be set up correctly to get the correct readings
