Airbag light
My 2017 Autosleeper Symbol has had numerous faults on the Peugeot side since new - latest one being the airbag light. This came on after I had to have a new vehicle battery in an 18 month van. The Peugeot dealer says it’s the wiring under the front seats. I have now been waiting since the 12th April for the parts. Is this normal as they are supposed to be on “special order”.

Re: Airbag light
First check all wiring connections under the seat are firm. If the fault is with the airbag ecu, these can be reset/repaired by this company...

Re: Airbag light
By all means check the wiring to make sure that all connections are tight and there is no sign of water ingress and corrosion (in most vans the slope in the cab floor means that any water coming in around the screen ends up under the front seats) but do not alter anything else if it's being addressed under warranty.
If it were mine, I would ask the Peugeot dealer - in writing - whether it is completely safe to drive the van in that condition (i.e. that the airbag system will still work) and if not, state that "time is of the essence" to get it fixed. If they state that it is completely safe to drive with the fault present, you have no realistic alternative but to wait for the parts to arrive.

Re: Airbag light
The airbag ECU is located right by the vehicle battery under passenger side floor so has something been disturbed when the new battery was installed, seems a strange coincidence.

Re: Airbag light
The Peugeot dealers say they have checked and it’s the seat harness and as it’s under warranty I have to get them to fix it. The AA changed the battery and were unable to turn off the light so told me to take it to the Peugeot dealer.
