I may have mentioned this before but l would like to get rid of the microwave in the Kingham and use the empty space for additional storage.
can l ask others who have done the same a, how easy is it to remove the electric lead and b, did AS supply a replacement door and if so how much did they charge?

Can't comment on the cupboard door as we removed the surround entirely to open up the space.

However, when you take the microwave off the shelf, the white cable wiring it to the isolator switch has a black connector to split it. So, you can actually remove the microwave without worrying too much about the electrical gubbins, if you're happy just to tape the remaining cable out of the way in your "new" cupboard.

Just a suggestion.....

When you find out how much A/S will want for a new door something like this may prove cheaper. They can be made to measure.

From another forum ...

'£70 plus £7 for handle plus VAT and delivery. Send an e mail to them and inside your lower glove compartment there is a sticker with build number. Quote that for the exact wood pattern. '

They will actually do the job but I've no idea of labour cost.
