Symbol Auto sleeper
Hi can someone help a lounge and sleeping area heating system query. I am new to this but enjoying my Symbol very much. I cannot seem to find out whether I can use the heating system on the electric setting without the boiler having water in it, I know you can't if using it on the gas setting.
Many thanks

Welcome from N.E Wales.
Might get better response if you start another thread in van conversion section. The welcome section is really just for that and not everyone read this section.

Re: Symbol Auto sleeper
Hi Birdwatcher, our Symbol is the 2011 design with a diesel space heater which runs on diesel or electric which is entirely separate from the water system. The heater determines if an electrical supply is present in which case it operates on mains electricity otherwise if operates on diesel.
Hope this helps ... Jeff

Hi Birdwatcher,
I have the Truma Combi 6E and as I type this the van is sat on the driveway outside connected to EHU and set to 6C with no water in it.
Not a problem :)
I'm also pretty sure I can run it on gas with no water in the tank too....

Area heating is normally gas or electric and both can be used without water,Birdwatcher wrote:Hi can someone help a lounge and sleeping area heating system query. Water heating is seperate and must have water to use it.
Seperate switches.
