We had a couple of Angus fillet steaks, washed down with San Miguel Tony, still very warm however overcast with the odd stop of rain.Askit wrote:You were right about yesterday, it was shorts, tee shirt and the BBQ was out

I woke up to light rain, which has all dried now. There's mire cloud about, but still quite warm.

Re: Weather
Drizzly rain this morning but it's cleared and the sun is out. Won't last though because we have a nasty low heading our way so a couple of days of wind and rain for us.burlingtonboaby wrote:We had a couple of Angus fillet steaks, washed down with San Miguel Tony, still very warm however overcast with the odd stop of rain.Askit wrote:You were right about yesterday, it was shorts, tee shirt and the BBQ was out

Certainly a good time to be a fan of steak, we got some fillet in Morrisons a few weeks ago at half price. Lidl are doing packs today for the equivalent price of £20 a kilo. I'm quite partial to a wee San miguel

We have now been shielding since the 13th of March. In that time we have had no more than 3/4 days of light rain and one part day of hailstones.
Getting up every day to enjoy the sun, is a real tonic. I think I shall rename our area the "Welsh Riviera."

Even less rain here Leighton. Given the current spate of handwashing, disinfecting and gardening we might have to rename our area the Great Oxfordshire Desert before summer is out.
The sun is a great tonic but wish it could be mixed with a twice weekly night of gentle rain.

Sun returned here after light rain overnight. Just been for weekly shop and all car parks full and it looks as busy as pre lockdown days . So much for us still being in lockdown!

Re: Weather
Winds gusting up along the coast. Ideal for the wind surfers who have turned out in their droves, not many trippers on the beach though, sand blasting wind.
Still mild.

Howling winds and pouring rain, if there's any birds out there I hope they've got their feathers well waxed

Lovely morning with bright sunshine. Forecast is for rain later so I need to get my breakfast and get on with the outside jobs before it arrives.

Roasting here Tony, just finished cutting the side hedge. Just the wee bits at the back, had to wait until the wee birds left first.
Have a nice day.

Re: Weather
Not as bright and warm here. Woke to the sound of a crow on next doors roof as normal. For the last week our garden looked like something out of a Hitchcock film with young starlings. I have been re-filling the bird bath twice a day.
This morning it was very quiet with only a couple of sparrows not even there squadron were about. Do they know something we don’t.!!!.

Roasting here and the bird feeders are getting what for. My wife filled them yesterday and they're almost empty. Might drag the BBQ out, grill a few snags for tea

Re: Weather
Yup! Glorious here in Cardiff. Again. We've only had one light shower (insufficient to half fill the bird bath) since 13th March. Quite incredible - especially after the floods of January and February. It's made lockdown so much more bearable: imagine the reverse!Bad Penny wrote:Another sunny day here on the Welsh Riviera.
A friend who had to drive along the North / South road [A470] told me that the Taf Fechan reservoirs are already very low. What next? I know: as soon as restrictions are eased in Wales, the deluge will begin, and we'll be again the Land of the Leak!
