When I got up this morning it looked much brighter outside, but the dull came back and with it some drizzle. I did see our local thrush throwing leaf litter about. No singing yet but good to see him/her.
Just walked the dogs and dried them off. Oh for proper dry weather, hot or cold, but this dull and wet is just getting me down.

Just noticed that our primroses are in flower. Can't say I've seen that before in January.

Wet and cold first thing, brighter now but temp no higher than 6 today.

I had to pop across the Keighley this morning to pick up a machine, & thought i'd have to turn back, horizontal snow, on M62 very busy & almost zero vis, but it cleared after about 10 miles, the 'wet' variety!!

No snow on the east coast here (yet), chilly wind yesterday,however turned into a dry mild morning ,ideal for dog walking.
No song thrushes singing this morning.

Dull and dry over here, with a bit of a breeze.

Very wet hereabouts. Just heard that the Rest and be Thankful has been blocked again with a huge landslip 

Still dry and chilly here, forecasted for a wet front this morning, have they shut the rest and be thankful Tony?, or is there traffic lights.

Boaby, it was shut for several days because of the land slip but it was reopened yesterday. They were using the old military road as a diversion. Guess the road surface was not compromised, which was why the closure was so short.

Warm (for the time of year) and wet up here. Plenty of the same to come.

Crikey,haven't used that old road since the 80's, mind when there was a similar landslide on A85 Glen Ogle
Pass, it took anyway a wee council truck and took it into the glen below.
Started pouring down at the back of 5 this morning ,drizzle now and dreich.

Dry but wet underfoot in the Staffordshire Badlands. Relatively mild, still and fairly bright. Can see the Welsh hills to the west, so it's going to rain.

Well known phrase around here - if you can see the hills it's going to rain, if you can't see the hills it's already raining.

It rained heavily in the night but dry and quite bright now but there's a biting wind. Quite mild out of the wind.

Horrendous rain on Vancouver Island, wettest January on record, Island Highway closed for first time ever, a couple of weeks ago deep snow but lasted just a few days.
Still I am sure Harry and Meghan can afford an umbrella.

Just mashing first pot of tea, haven't really looked outside but can see frost on grass.

Storm Ciara giving us a good battering. Been at it all night and still going strong this morning.

Lots of flooding up here after a night of very heavy rain and strong winds. Currently on a wee respite as the wind has dropped but it's due to pick up again in the next few hours with damaging gusts.
