95 symphony rear door Empty 95 symphony rear door

Post by Guest Wed Jun 20, 2018 10:19 am

hi folks attempted to sort the rear door out yesterday, the left door is not locking properly.
i ve noticed you can get the lock bar to slot in bottom striker plate but not the top shrugg
and vice versa you get the top to fit but not the bottom, ive tried adjusting the top striker plate but seems to be 1/4
set back from the bar,the upper striker is shiny at the front were the bar has obviously been rubbing as it doesn't slot in the hole
its as though the door is buckled but looks straight to me. i will take photos later if rain holds off, thanks for any advice
cheers chazz

Try moving the van a few feet, it might not be sitting 'square' and the body is twisting slightly.

Also using a bike rack with too much weight on it can cause door to be sprained a bit.
