Mercedes service plan
Anyone using the Mercedes service plan ? We have recently had a quote from our dealer for a plan which will cover us for five years servicing. Covering an A and B service, as well as the additional auto gearbox service service which is required. £570 inc VAT. I appreciate there will be differing views on using dealerships, and I’ve had my own bad experiences in the past too. But, on the face of it, it appears to be a reasonable deal.

Re: Mercedes service plan
5 YEARS servicing for £570?
I would have their hand off at the shoulder!
Check if you can get a refund if you sell or change your van before the 5 years is up.

In fact, tell me who your dealer is please. If I can get that deal it would be worth driving from Derby and staying locally while services are done

The deal is dependant on signing up within 90 days of first registration.

Re: Mercedes service plan
These are the standard MB service costs. Service A = £140, Service B = £265. Extra Items/cost may be involved.
What does the price include, ie how many A & B services.

Re: Mercedes service plan
It seems to good to be true, but then again if the service intervals are over many thousands of miles you may only use two or three in your five years of ownership, most
( not all ) vans only do 5k or so miles a year, a lot a much less.

Re: Mercedes service plan
Done some more digging on this now, and it is very good value. (Although I believe only available via Mercedes if selected within 90 days of registration). The deal includes 1 x A service, 1 x B service, 1 x Auto box service. Parts including filters and fluids. All for £570, which I believe if I went down the conventional route, would cost a lot more. I was advised this should cover 5 years usage, which is the minimum period before we would consider a change.

Re: Mercedes service plan
A service + B service = £486 inc VAT, so £84 for Gearbox ? Paid up front.
I would pay as you go. There is a monthly plan from £17/m which might be better?

Re: Mercedes service plan
Checking on the intervals 1st service A 1 year or 10k miles then every 2 years, B service 2 years or 20k miles then every 2 years or 20k miles plus transmision service.crosgor wrote:It seems to good to be true, but then again if the service intervals are over many thousands of miles you may only use two or three in your five years of ownership, most

So you would get 3 x A and 2 xB services.
It seems you will be quids in as long as you keep the van.
