Today's Name This Part
Can anyone be so kind as to confirm the purpose of the part in the photo below?
I found it in the glove box of my 2017 Warwick Duo. It is plastic.
I went through a phase of thinking it was to help with filling AdBlue, but I can not convince myself.
PS This is the last unidentified item I have so I can't do one everyday or offer any prize.

Open bonnet, look where oil filler is and you'll see why you need it.

Mmm interesting debate, I was told that it was for oil...however, I know from experience that you need something like this fo the adblue...
I just took my dealers word for it that it was for the oil???

Thanks everyone.
The thin end of the tube thing fits perfectly into the filler for the engine oil.
I don't think I made this plain in my earlier reply.
If your engine oil filler is in a different place then you will not need one.

The so called "designer" who put the screenwash filler where it is should be peeling potatoes in the canteen and not be allowed near a computer. Ideally he/she'd be sitting next to the p8llock who decided that dark red on a black background for the KPH readings on the speedo was the idea of the year!
Mines slightly different being 2011, but the above applies

So for clarification my 2015 build has the oil filler thereabouts, but I don’t have one of those, I topped up the oil and space spilled a lot, surely I’m missing this part.

Mine is a Peugeot Boxer, the 160hp 2017 version.Toffee wrote:So for clarification my 2015 build has the oil filler thereabouts, but I don’t have one of those, I topped up the oil and space spilled a lot, surely I’m missing this part.
If your is the same design as mine then I would guess you are missing the tube, or at least would benefit from having one. I think the problem is getting a bottle of oil into a position to be able to pour into the filler is difficult. This extra tube efectively moves the filler out from under the body work.

Use a big tun dish - you can hardly miss then!
P.S. For those not brung up around here, it's a colloquial expression meaning a funnel - often with a built in filter. I know that's not what a tun dish really is, but we country yokels do things our way!!

Ah: in colloquial Welsh it's similar - twndis.
By the way, AutoSleepyDon, may I respectfully suggest that you never again rest the removed oil-filler cap (or any similar cover) in the engine bay: always outside. I speak from very bitter experience - can be a real B..r to retreive when it slips down! Which it will!

Oil filler extension, not AdBlue.

It nearly did fall and I recal thinking this could be very bad but I so wanted the photo, I thought it would explain the use of the tube.
The tube very nearly fits onto the adblue filler but not quite. It does fit the oil filler perfectly so that is clearly its correct use.

Re: Today's Name This Part
I have had a big week.
1) I camped on Monday night in Brugge in -6 C, the van copes easily with -6 C, fan only on eco. van heated evenly. Insulation must be great. I have winter pack, £300 no brainer. I assume no vans leave factory without the winter pack.
2) I filled with LPG (my first time)
3) I have now identified the 2 parts I could not id myself.
I'm snowed in now but if the power goes off, the van is full of LPG so I can go and live in that.
