Replacement Wing Mirror
Hi
Hi, I've just returned from our first trip to France in our Peugeot Boxer Autosleeper Symbol. Unfortunately the passenger side door mirror was knocked off and requires to be replaced. Peugeot are quoting £285 just for the unit, they won't divulge the part number required. I was going to order a replacement online and either fit it myself or get a friendly local garage fit it, where do I get the correct part number for it and who is it best to buy it from. It's the standard mirror that comes with the van not an Autosleeper mirror.
Thanks in anticipation.

Re: Replacement Wing Mirror
Morning Salty
I can't help directly but hang fire before spending a lot of cash.
I know there is a company which does "third party" mirrors that are reckoned to be identical to the OEM ones - probably the same item but sold at a less greedy price.
Someone will know the company I'm sure. It was certainly discussed on another forum a while ago, but the ancient memory refuses to divulge the details.

Re: Replacement Wing Mirror
Well done Alf.
That's probably the source I was thinking of. I knew someone would know!!
This may be the very one Salty needs [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] but in his situation I might consider enquiring about the short arm version. The long arm ones stick out like Little Noddy's ears, and are very vulnerable as he has discovered.

Re: Replacement Wing Mirror
There are listed short, medium and long arm versions so take your pick certainly far cheaper than Peugeot.Gromit wrote:Well done Alf.

And they easy to fit (from experience!). If you have cab door blinds you have to partly dismantle them as well.

Re: Replacement Wing Mirror
Hi,I got mine from Amazon and it is almost as good as the original.
One thing is the glass vibrates very slightly but is not enough to pay out man more pounds for the original.
It was from Ultimate styling and was £60.99
If you look on You tube there are videos on fitting.
Hope this helps.

Re: Replacement Wing Mirror
Thanks for all your help, ordered mine from Wingmirrorman.com, hopefully will arrive in a couple of days. My wife will be happy, she was getting fed up hanging her head out the window in France to see if it was safe to move out
