Fitting an awning rail on a symbol

Hi has anyone fitted an awning rail on a symbol? Mine is a 2001. Just wondering if the roof is thick enough to fix to without intruding inside.

If you email Autosleepers they may be able to tell you if and where there is extra strengthening inside the roof, for the best place to fix the rail.
