Awning rail
I've just bought a Talbot Symphony with an Omnistor wind-out awning. I want to put an awning rail up so I can use my drive-away awning and the most convenient place would be on the top edge (corner) of the Omnistor. Has anyone done this and are there any pitfalls, such as screwing through and piercing the awning fabric?
Thanks.
Nora
Thanks.

Re: Awning rail
Is there not a groove along the front face of the awning like there is on the Fiamma ones Nora?

Re: Awning rail
No, it's flat on the front side. Obviously they'd rather you bought the sides for their awning .

The best method is to wrap the tunnel of the drive-away awning over the Omnistor roll out and peg down the bungie cord either side. See the pic. No need to fix any additional rail.
If you use the front slot of the Ominstor and slide in the adaptor you won't get the awning as close to the van so rain could come in from either side. Also they are a pain to fit, especially when its dark and starting to rain.

Ah, I see what you mean - I never though of that! Sometimes you miss the obvious. Thanks, I'll try that.
