Re: Harmony improvements for 2018
Hi,
Thanks for the mirror info, I'll talk to Maurice at MW in Wisbech when itgoes in for the gearbox as he's more likely to have a go, or know if it can't be done, as opposed to a standard garage.
My tyres are 97R's but if I go for Michelin Agilis 81's they seem to only come 102/104S's for my 15". Jury still out on a 2018 change though.
I'm seeing my garage on Monday with instructions to order the shocks as you advised for the October service.
Terry

Sorry Terry: brain not in gear. We'd already discussed tyres at length previously. One of many 'senior moments' which keep happening at the moment!

Stuart
I've specified Sachs Boge on the front and my garage will charge me £240 pair for the privilege.
KYB's on the back will cost £190 pair. I'll stump up the cost if necessary but-
-I've seen cheaper on fleabay and they're happy for me to supply and they will fit them.
However I'm having a problem with matching part numbers from my specific vehicle on the Peugeot Service box details( 52A01A front & 52C01A rear) with those on the internet, even my 270s is not listed.
Have you got any information as to where you got yours from and prices ?
Thanks

Re: Harmony improvements for 2018
Terry,
Unfortunately I can't find the invoice for my purchases so can't be absolutely sure what I ordered. However I think for the fronts I bought Sachs 280 975, and I know for certain that they were £118 for the pair from my local motor factor "Sureparts" in Redditch. That price was better than I could have got anywhere else at that time, on-line or otherwise. Try around page 645 of the following downloaded catalogue [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
For the rear I think I put on KYB 344283 - see page 219 of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I did these ages back before my Diesel conversion so not sure that what I bought was the most suitable option. Just to be clear: I purchased KYB not on the basis of their known quality - they might be darn good but I don't know - but because they were cheap and locally available. The brand is supposed to be original fit on Toyota and so you'd expect quality. However I'm not necessarily recommending them. After I don't know how many miles, I now feel they're up for renewal again.
This does not correlation to PSA numbers but nevertheless I hope this helps.

PS remember the comments from me and Frank regarding the upper spring cap and the strut top bearing - your garage should take a good look at those too, and not be in too much of hurry to put it all together. How about checking the condition yourself when they get to that stage?
