Suitability of Alko Airtop units
Hi all
Have read lots of post relating to the Alko Airtop units and have check my have bolts correctly fitted. However just checked and I have a puncture in the near side bellows.
Having looked at the info supplied with the van I noticed on the 1st page of Alko instruction booklet the following warning :- " Installation may follow only on vehicles which were sanctioned by the manufacturer and, in any case, only on vehicles without ESP system".
I believe our 2012 Sussex EB, based on a Euro 5 Peugeot Boxer, is fitted with ESP. So does anyone know if this is OK.
I do not know how the bellows have been punctured although it's directly under the hex head bolt head, always keep pressure at 1.8-2.0 bar and have not overloaded the van.
Would appreciate any comments, currently trying to find somewhere locally to Bournemouth to have new units fitted. Marquis have quoted c£600 incl VAT.

Re: Suitability of Alko Airtop units
I would suggest that you speak to the service department at Head Office. I have a Sussex Duo on which one of the bellows was damaged. They were very helpful and replaced the units as, apparently, they were incorrectly fitted. At least speaking to them would possibly clear up the problem.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Re: Suitability of Alko Airtop units
Have had the Alko units replaced by Autosleeper Service dept. Unfortunately as the originals were correctly fitted I had to pay £454, still £150 cheaper than Marquis. New one do not have protruding bolts which may damage the air bag.
