Damaged side rear view mirrow
Hi guys,
We have a 2013 A/S Sussex duo on a Peugeot Boxer chassis. Last week whilst travelling down the west coast of Scotland our offside wing mirror was impacted by a white van man traveling at speed. The mirror was undamaged but the clear lens of the flashing indicator was completely broken away and destroyed. Q. do I have to purchase a complete new mirror at great expense or can I just replace the clear lens. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Regards, Dave

Hi Dave, as long as it is only the lens broken you can get replacements. Just google Peugeot Boxer wing mirror lens and you get plenty of results like this one http://www.cardoormirrors.com/peugeot/boxer/2006-to-2016-wing-mirror-indicators.html Costing about £11 plus delivery.

Re: Damaged side rear view mirrow
Having located a suitable new indicator lens the next issue is how to fit it.
I had a similar accident on my first trip to France with the new van. Luckily the lens was not broken but I did have to find some longer fixing screws.
The trick is to adjust the mirror to the widest it will go to expose the heads of two small screws. Removing those allows the lens to rotate forward slightly to unclip from the other side. If your lens is totally broken ensure that you do get the fixing screws as well.

Thanks guys you've been most helpful, new lens ordered today.
Saved a fortune - Peugeot advised me that I would need a complete new mirror assembly.

Dave, FYI, I had similar incident and had to replace clear lens and bulb holder. I was told to push the mirror right back on the right hand side to expose the screws that held the lens -hope you manage OK.

I think it is W16W, but if you go on to Halfords web site search for vehicle bulbs, they have a facility to enter your registration number and it will come up with all your different bulbs for your vehicle and look for mirror indicator bulb. Or just take the old one in.
