Trident van height?
I have recently purchased a 2005 VW t5 Trident and it needs a wash! Can it go through a car wash? Can someone tell me the height of these please?
Thanks,
Christine

Perhaps give Mark Burdett a call at A/S Willersey 01386 853511, I personally would not, radio aerial etc.Christine wrote:I have recently purchased a 2005 VW t5 Trident and it needs a wash! Can it go through a car wash? Can someone tell me the height of these please?

I wouldn't, either. I've no idea how it would deal with the roof vents, and I would not want to find out the hard way.
Bear in mind that it will probably be operating right at the top of its travel, where it never normally operates (because everything else that goes through is half the height!).

Thanks, I get the picture! I'll get the bucket and sponge out.

Anyone ever get theirs done by the local hand car wash people? I usually take mine to the supermarket petrol station jet wash and do it myself, but...

I understood from A/S Willersey that power washes can damage seals etc so weren't a good idea.

Auto-Sleeper don't recommend pressure washers as, as you say it can break down seals & damage decals etc. However, it depends a lot on the attachment you use, i wash our Broadway with a Nilfisk pressure washer which is pretty powerful, but I ensure I use the dedicated "Car wash" end attachment which creates an arched spray which is a lot gentler than the other attachments, having said this I still keep away from vents and any delicate areas. With the Tridents metal van body I wouldn't worry too much just watch the vents and decals.
