Sliding door Half way stop
We have recently changed our van and now have a Warwick XL.
Having researched the problem I have found a door stop by Euro Carry in Italy that is designed to provide a half way stop for the sliding door.
Does anyone have any experience of this product or can suggest another solution to fixing the door in the half way open position.

This has been asked before, so here is a thread which contains both proprietary and diy solutions..

Stick a cork in one of the holes in the bottom runner. I put a hook in the cork to give a handle to pull it out with.

I made one of these:

I used a bit of scrap stainless steel angle and a chisel to create the small 'humps' to locate the wheel. Fitting was by Evostick and there have not been any problems in three years and over 360 nights use.

Re: Sliding door Half way stop
I have seen a quick solution by one of our members who doesnt post very often!
Along the bottom runner you will see 3 or 4 holes, Chris fitted a bolt into one of these to act as a stop. When the door reaches the stop press handle again and it will allow full operation of the door
When weather gets warmer its something I am going to do

I use a pencil eraser on the top runner - the type with the wedge on both ends. Works a treat

Thanks everyone for the swift suggestions, I am sure we will find a solution among them that will work for us.

Interestingly Angus from Roseisle M/Vans said he has a stock of these stops that he removed from his hire fleet as they were causing the hirers problems.

There is a product available from a German company called a STOPSY simple to fit and does the job.
