Hi Toffee
Glad to hear you've got yours sorted, are you happy with the results ?
I have arranged for mine to be done in March through the dealers when it is due it's habitation check.
Did they rub down and repaint rather than new panels ? interested because that's what Marquis are proposing to do to mine. I suppose the cost of replacing all three panels on mine make it the most cost effective solution.
Regards
Hubert

Re: Warwick xl
The bumper has been sanded and painted, the paint finish is very good, but if I had the choice I would have stripped the old paint completely and started again, but that wasn't my decision it was between the dealer and the paint shop. Th blistering on mine was quite bad some of the blisters were 5mm diameter some were smaller, I would guess about 2-300 blisters in total.
Hope your repair goes well.

Re: Warwick xl
Hi Hubert, I was interested in your post as I too have the same problem on all my bumper panels. ( build no P6060 ) Clearly there has been a focused problem at the AS factory for a batch of vans.
I only noticed the blisters today. I would be keen to hear what your dealer is planning to do for your van or are you taking it to the AS factory. You mentioned the job was due to be done in March.
Would love to hear from you.
Regards Pat

Re: Warwick xl
Hi Pat
Sorry to hear that you also have problems with the front bumper paintwork. A local body shop thought the problem was down to condensation in the compressor spray lines when it was being painted.
I originally asked if I could take it back to the factory and whilst A-S were happy to do it there, the claim had to go through the supplying dealer. In discussions with the supplying dealer (Marquis) about rectification, they want to take it to their local bodyshop for repairs, I suppose they weren't keen on losing the work.
Marquis say the bodyshop will sand back and respray (as Toffee's), I had hoped for new panels.
It's a shame really because the original finish of the bumpers when new was spot on in appearance and colour match to the van. I used to have a Symbol and was never happy with the front bumper, colour match was poor and the paint finish was not good. Always niggled me to see the colour difference when walking back to the van.
The van goes in Mon 20th March to have the work done, so fingers crossed.
Will post how I get on.
Hope you get your's resolved quickly.
Regards
Hubert
