Intermittent flushing of loo
Hello,
just to update on our recent problem re hit and miss flushing with the Sigma loo .
It has been into our local MH service centre to be investigated . After irrigating the system through, they flushed the wc successfully 50 times . They did report seeing solid particles of pink matter in the water - most likely to be jellified flush fluid, possibly due to the lavvy not being used on the dealer's forecourt (we hope!) Happily, the Sigma has since been taken into a loving home .
Geoff is due to take it to the Wharfedale CC site at Threshfield next week, so fingers crossed it functions like Hardraw Force. However, the campsite facilties are very cosy if the in house ones seize up .

Don't forget to remove the cistern drain plug when draining down, its located inside the external cassette locker.
A good flush out with fresh clean water at the end of the season should clear out all of the old pink fluid .

Intermitant toilet flushing
I had the same problem. Pump locking up etc. Seem to have solved it by putting a solution of vinegar and water ( 50/50) in the tank for a couple of days before draining out for winter. This removes the limescale from the pump which would normally set hard whilst being dry during the lay up period. repeat again at start of new season and hopefully no more problems.

Re: Intermittent flushing of loo
I had the same problem which seemed to be caused by precipate from pink toilet flush.
I would not recommend its use.
Just put a spot of green toilet fluid in the water if you like coloured antiseptic flush water.
The pink stuff seems to have no purpose but to look nice.

Re: Intermittent flushing of loo
The Thetford pink has been reformulated so perhaps they have eventually accepted there was a problem. Other brands are available of course. We use one from a dealer (own brand/label) and find it does leave a slippery coating on the bowl meaning a cleaner flush. We've also used fabric conditioner which seems to have the same effect.

Re: Intermittent flushing of loo
I've never had problems with Thetford pink flushing fluid, as long as one flushes out the cistern periodically .
I like the smell too!
