Toilet not flushing
Hi everyone
The toilet is not flushing, even though I have water in the flush tank and it’s showing in the level pipe. I’m fairly confident it’s not frozen. The motor is running when I press the button, but nothing comes out.
Is there any quick fix, or way of draining the flush header tank. I need to put it back into storage so I want to drain down again. Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Well to drain it, hold the level tube and pull out of clip and down to remove from sealing bung at top, then lower tube into a container to catch the liquid. As for not flushing can't think of a reason if pump is running.

Thanks Paul. I’ll try that. I’m assuming it’s got water in, because the vertical clear tube has got water in, half full. But maybe that’s blocked. I’m on the A64 at the moment so I’ll try it later.
My main concern is leaving it in storage and a sudden cold snap freezing it.

I think you could have an air lock between the level indicator and the tank. Indicator suggests there is water there when actually tank is empty. Do as Paul says and all should be well. (Fingers crossed!)

As a long shot have you recently had it serviced? Has it ever worked...assume yes.
I had mine serviced once and the pump had not been dropped back into the water, hence sound but no water. Worth a check.

Re: Toilet not flushing
As your going into storage, drain down as suggested above. As for the flush not working, when you can hear the pump running. We’ve had this problem previously. We managed to fix it by filling the rinse tank to almost full capacity. Whatever was wrong, i still don’t know whether it was an airlock or what, but the full tank seemed to clear the blockage. I think the tank takes approx 7 Litres. All works fine now, and no problems since.

Re: Toilet not flushing
Thanks to everyone for your comments. I always appreciate the help I get on here.
It was working first thing, then not, so nothing to do with the servicing people, although that’s a good point. I emptied it via the level tube as Paul suggested (I didn’t even know you could do that, so another lesson learned). I think it was an airlock and it was in fact empty. I’ll know for certain next time out, but pretty sure that’s what it is.
Thanks again for the help
