Central locking not locking. Empty Central locking not locking.

Sorry if this has been covered before. The locking on our Warwick van would not lock and message on dash said rear doors open. Looked on You Tube and its the contacts on the side sliding door not connecting . The contacts on the pillar get pushed back over time ,2014 van. So packed it off a few mm and it worked again. Thought this might help ,it had me worried for a while.
