Symphony Water system Empty Symphony Water system

Post by Kathys-Cottage Mon Aug 22, 2016 2:59 pm

1997 Peugeot Boxer Symphony has developed what I can only describe  as a stuttering when turning on the water taps, resulting in the flow of water being very "jerky" and if standing in the wrong place getting a soaking with the sudden gush of water.  A similar stuttering sound from the area of the water pump.  Both on hot & cold system although cold by far the worse.  Any ideas/solutions welcome!

Try adjusting the pressure switch. I don't know where that would be located on your van but others will.

Pressure switch is built into Shurflo pump so don't think you can adjust anything, are you sure it's not just air in system.

Sounds like air in the system to me - been there, done that smile!

One trick I found was to open the vent on the carver with the pump switched off and then run the pump until water comes out of the vent. Then close it again of course.

Might help? [might not?]
