"o" rings for carver cascade

Hi 
just replacing the burner on the carver and noticed one of the two very small "o rings on the screws that hold it to the gas outlet has split, these probably being original will they be of Imperial sizing? I have obtained some metric ones which are very fractionally smaller (5mm) would they be ok to use, if not anyone know where I can get some that will fit, the original measure approx 6mmm.

What is the I.D. and the cord thickness? I'll have a look in my box of delights.

I believe the ID is 3mm and cord is 1mm

The only 3mm I.D. ones I have are 2mm cord. Will these do?

I fitted a new burner to my Carver a couple of years ago and noticed the exact same problem....just one of the tiny 'o' rings had split. But as i was having it tested by an approved qualified fitter i mentioned it to him and he told me it's commonplace and not a safety issue.
