The colour of my Kingham is Golden White but on my log book it says Brown. Have the DVLA made a mistake or do they class Golden White as Brown.

I believe that the info on a V5 is supplied by the van manufacturer and they're presumably faced with a drop down list of colours with limited choice. Personally I wouldn't opt for brown in this case but maybe the member of staff involved has never had the colours shown to them and may even be colour blind.

The DVLA has an official list of colours and no variations from these are permitted on the V5. When it is time to enter the colour, the nearest match to the list is chosen and as Golden White is (to my eyes at least) a Bronze type colour, that will explain why Brown was chosen. The person who chose White for Flaggy's colour was seemingly taking the "White" of Golden White, as a good clue.

My golden white Warwick Duo is shown as "Gold". My previous van, a VW T5 Trident, was a similar colour but the V5 had it listed as "Beige".

Mine also says Gold in the DVLA doc but the plate under the bonnet says it is a white van

Our "Golden white" van has Golden white on the V5... Perhaps its because ours is goldener than yours ?  hugegrins

Definitely not brown...

Just by coincidence we received the amended v5 doc from the purchase of the new to us 2014 Kemerton in golden white and it states colour as GOLD!

Mine says just says Gold, it could be that the people/ person who fills the first Registration puts down whatever they think but Peugeot list the colour as Golden White.

I have a blue Warwick xl the v5 says it is blue......the Peugeot sticker under the bonnet says it is Golden White........my very helpful Peugeot dealer ( seriously they are ) says there is no way to get the the correct sticker with appropriate colour code. It is amazing how many things can go wrong with something that is done so many times you would think all the potential problems had been ironed out.

Or Italian as they're all built at the Sevel Sud factory at Atessa, Val de Sangro, near the Adriatic coast midway between Rome and Naples but on the other side of the country.

Our Warwick XL in Golden White is listed as brown on the V5. Our previous Golden White Duo was listed as gold.
