White ral colour
Just trying to find out the ral code for the white fibreglass rear panel on a 2017 model ?
Or will the factory be helpful if I contact them?

Re: White ral colour
As in Norfolk, if you go to Ketts in Whiffler rd by airport, they'll photograph it for you and analyse to give you correct code. Also if they supply the paint, it'll be aged same as rest of truck.

Re: White ral colour
I was told by the factory it was the same code as the Merc cab but i carried out a small repair to the corner of the rear panel with gel coat that I mixed to get a colour match Standard white gel coat is much whiter than the fibreglass rear panel on the coach built models and are what I would describe as a grey / white so I gradually added grey light grey gelcoat to white to get a match which is a slow process but worked and the repair is unnoticeable It is not a difficult job but requires time and patience when I was happy with the colour match( I added one drop of grey at a time to a small jar of white gelcoat until I was happy with colour if you go too grey add more white )then you have to carefully flatten down with wet and dry through the grades into the thousands and then polish
I was told it couldn’t be done but it can with time and patience and I was much happier to keep the repair as small as possible without painting half the panel for it to discolour at a different rate in years to come
I found it simple enough although done over many small periods over several days of fine weather
I did speak to the people who make the panels for Autosleeper and they said I come call in for some correct colour gelcoat but would not send it but as they are hundreds of miles away I choose this route and have been very happy with my work Hope this is of help.

White ral colour
thanks Redboy, I not got the spray gear now, but know someone who does
i might take in and get done and get the front bonnet sprayed up as well, they
use the pre-finished factory van cab and that not got the same finish as they use for merc
cars for instance always seams like you polishing sandpaper when you clean the bonnet
and will always look different to the gel coat. thanks again though appreciate it .
