2006 Sussex/Symbol no pollen filter?
Hi folks,
I have very nice 2006 Sussex, last of the 202 - 2006 range. based on the Peugeot boxer 2.2hdi engine.
I have just spent most of the day searching for the pollen filter and have decided I do not have one and there is no where for it to go.
Can anyone confirm?
if so, has anyone come across a retrofit kit? I understand that filters may be fitted if air con is standard.
I checked the internet, you tube and forums here.
just to confirm.
I have replaced many filters over the years.
I stripped down the scuttle underneath the windscreen wipers and then tried behind the glove box, nothing.
underneath the passenger side windscreen wiper is the inlet for the air into the fan. A deep cavity with the drain at the bottom.
Lastly.
when I say i stripped down the scuttle. rubber seal off, windscreen wipers off, two sections of plastic moulding. this revealed a black metal plate that goes two thirds of the way across, that looks sealed from the factory, it looked as if I would have to release the windscreen wiper main nut that would have released the motor. looking at it and to the right is the large entry to the fan.
On the left hand drive citroens I understand the filter is underneath a metal plate that looks very easy to remove. not on mine.
keep up the good work.
Graham

The 2002-2006 Boxer is the X244 model and according to Autodata if air con is fitted, it shows the relay/jumper (same as Boxer) as having the pollen filter above and behind the expansion tank.
On a 2.8 it states ''The Pollen filter is located in the engine compartment just under the windscreen on the passenger side. The trim under the windscreen on the outside of the vehicle is divided into two pieces. Remove the half at passenger side, it is secured with philips screws. The pollen filter is located under this trim which covers the air inlet for cabin air.''. Maybe same place on the 2.2.

Hi folks, John Peter and Paul.
seems as though my X244 does not have a pollen filter.
shame I thought all new vehicles do and I get serious hayfever!
hey ho, the rough with the smooth.
thanks for the feedback
