Tightening arms Duetto seats Empty Tightening arms Duetto seats

The arms on the driver and passenger seats on my 1999 Duetto are loose. I popped the black plastic cap off expecting to find an Allen or Torx to tighten, but the securing bolt has no flats and a circular hole in its head which doesnt seem keyed at all. How on earth do I tighten it?

The bolts are indeed Torx (from memory Torx 40), or they were on my 1999 Duetto. Maybe in the poor light of looking down the hole in the arm they just look smooth?

Removed my inside ones on the Duetto (Torx) and the VW T4/5 and covered the hole with a metric bolt araldited to the back of a suitable trimmed furniture  'skid', the plastic skid colour matched the seat covering a treat and an extra few inches were gained between the seats for passage to the rear!

Yes the heads just need to be 'felt' by firking inside with the torx until it finds it. One on my passenger seat keeps working loose so needs tightening up every now and then...no idea why it works loose as i rarely have a passenger!

They are indeed Torx 40, and they're now lovely and tight. It's proactive maintenance like this that keeps a van looking smart (a stitch in time ..............etc). Thanks a lot. up!

Thanks for the feedback, all too often on these forums we never get to hear if the problem has been resolved.
