What pressure for the Al-Ko units?
We have a 2014 Warwick Duo and run at the specified 60 psi front and 65 psi rear tyre pressures. The van is fitted with double springs, the sort that have rubber pads at the ends of the lower spring and do not ever seem to make contact with the upper spring.
My question is, what pressure do other users inflate their Al-Ko units to? I have tried various pressures but cannot really say that I have noticed much difference in either ride, or roll on corners, roundabouts etc. The van is normally well laden and we go away for 8 weeks at a time all over mainland Europe, so have experienced most sorts of road surface.
So what pressures do you use?

1.8 Bar................... This was recommended here on this forum and it works very well indeed on our van .........

Thanks guys. We have been using 2.0 Bar recently, after a year at 1.5 Bar and have not really noticed any difference, so I was curious as to what other people were using.

Don't run them too low or you run the risk of the securing bolt heads fouling the 'balloons' and damaging them.

Thanks Gram, I have kept an eye on this potential problem and the balloons seem in perfect condition at present.

Isn't that only applicable if the bolts are in upside down ? I know some vans were put together that way. But not all including ours ...Gram wrote:Don't run them too low or you run the risk of the securing bolt heads fouling the 'balloons' and damaging them.

Are there not 'bump stops' inside the bellows?

Apparently there are bump stops inside the airbags, but the problem can still occur even if the bolts are the right way up (i.e. head downward).
Well worth keeping an eye on.
