Trident 2002
I have just bought a Trident on an 02 plate, can anyone tell me if it should have Central Locking, the VW Key has a button on it but does nothing. When I unlock the drivers door it only unlocks that door.
If there isn't Central Locking does anyone know where I can get it fitted.
Thanks

Re: Trident 2002
Hi Mike the Red,
Welcome to the forum!
Is your 02 plate a T4? I think it wold be at that age. Our T4 Trident did not have central locking but I was planning on fitting it. It apparently not to difficult a job for the front doors, the sliding door is trickier. I found the T4 Forum ([You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]) excellent - there was lots of good advice on there and the kits I think were readily available.
You can also try here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Or here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] - like the flip keys - very neat!
I have a feeling the button on the remote might just be for an LED light on the key.

Re: Trident 2002
I have an 03 Trident. When I replaced the battery in the key fob recently it stopped operating the central locking. Try this procedure...
