1999 Symbol 12V electrics
The leisure battery is not being charged when the engine is running. The relays and fuses in the battery compt are ok so there is a fault under the bonnet somewhere. Does anyone have any ideas what I might look for.
Many thanks
Gary

Two fuses hanging above the engine battery. One is for the fridge and the other for the split charge relay. The holders frequently corrode causing the fuses to arc and blow. This is usually due to water running on to them from the windscreen scuttle. If you need new holders, this is the style...get two while you are there and replace both.

There is a connection from the D+ terminal on the alternator to the split charge relay. When operated on engine running, that relay connects the leisure and vehicle batteries together to be charged from the alternator.

I had exactly the same happen with my Duetto for this very reason you state. I was somewhat surprised when i saw the location AS had fitted them.
The hardest part was removing the damn fuse as it had literally melted in the holder but i eventually prised it out without damage to the holder.
