Whats the right type of Awning
Hello I have just bought a VW t4 Trophy auto- Sleeper its our first van and we are really exited about .....well everything really. The only concern I have is that it does not have any type of awning.
Could anyone advise me as to what type of awning would be best.

Hi Ashpan10
Am watching this thread in anticipation ... I have had my Trophy for a couple of years now and recently decided to get a Movelite Xl driveaway awning.
I do most of my camping solo and found it to be a little unruly when I used it for the first time last week - but then it was blowing a bit of a hoolie and hammering down with rain when I put it up. Maybe this is not the awning for me even though it was a good size and fairly stable once up.
Happy hunting

Re: Whats the right type of Awning
When I had my Topaz same as Trophy I had the Kampa drive away, good reviews have larger one for the caravan,
I put a C rail put on the middle of the gutter using the same screws holes so not to add more holes in the van, just needed a self tapper at the front end as the screws didn`t go that far, also advisable to get the end stops for the C rail to stop the canopy blowing out.
Hope this helps. Kampa does stand up to the rough weather , had one for years.
