Fit a c rail? vw t4 trooper Empty Fit a c rail? vw t4 trooper

Please help, what is the best method of fitting a drive away awning to our trooper. It has been suggested fitting a c rail along the length of the black plastic gutter rail, but is this the best way?

I would say yes, perhaps because I did fit one on my Topaz as many others have and it worked and looked neat.
