Re: Fitting Mudflaps to Mercedes
I fitted Merc flaps which came as a kit with everything needed including SS screws and an idiots guide (which I needed ha ha) and they were a doddle to fit. Black though ha ha.

Re: Fitting Mudflaps to Mercedes
I have just had a pair supplied and fitted to my Bourton for £90, would have fitted them myself but a few health issues prevent me. Supplier main Merc commercial dealer. Midland Van and Truck Wolverhampton brand new premises staff really helpful. Will definitely use them for servicing.

Re: Fitting Mudflaps to Mercedes
I went to my local truckstop and bought a pair of black truck flaps, cut them to size and just screwed and clamped them on. I will try to post a picture. Cost was about £20 if I remember rightly.
Certainly stop all the muck getting on the steps but they don't cut the spray out completely on the doors and where the main body shoulder sticks out from the side.

Re: Fitting Mudflaps to Mercedes
Peter, did you use a protection between the flap and outside wheel arch? Just found the MB foil kit on ebay, almost as much as the flaps.

Re: Fitting Mudflaps to Mercedes
I managed to get a foil kit at enormously reduced price. It is nothing special at all, just heavy-weight clear film. The "kit" is for four wheels, obviously we don't need the rear pieces. With hindsight I would have found something else to do the job.... if anything at all is required.PLOUGHLIN wrote:Peter, did you use a protection between the flap and outside wheel arch? The M-B mudflaps are an excellent item, fit really well to "post-step" vans.

Re: Fitting Mudflaps to Mercedes
I will use some of this E-Tech clear film,I think. Can use it for other protection as well, on the van and other cars.

I've been using it for 50 years personally and professionally and not experienced that. Have you any examples?
