Waste bins generally!
Read recent post about what to use as a waste bin and where to put it in small vans. We have found the shredded paper part of an old broken shredder very useful. The small footprint is great and it fits easily by base of wardrobe in our Duetto or by back door. 'On the move' we store it behind near side rear seat. Supermarket carrier bags fit in there nicely too!

I just hang a supermarket bag up wherever handy at the time, but normally on the rear door handle.

We use old supermarket bags, just held on a bungee cord through the handles. Wish there was less packaging on stuff myself so much plastic it fills up so quickly.

and us (for 6 years now). First thing we did on getting the Nuevo was remove the built-in bin from cupboard under sink, wasting useful storage space.

You're a profligate lot, you English! In Wales we pay for plastic bags, and as a result we use re-useable ones when shopping. Mind you, I'll happlily accept free bags when in London, to use in the motorhome as described!

Absolutely - when in England we never take our own bags into a supermarket so that we can get a supply of carrier bags for use in the van.

We even export loads with us when we go to the boat in Greece. The ones you get in Greece make inferior rubbish sacks lol.Paulmold wrote:Cymro wrote:You're a profligate lot, you English! I must admit that the built-in bin was one of the worst aspects of our Nuevo and was removed too.
Small plastic food bag or empty yoghurt pots used now.
And what's happened to the forum clock again....I posted this at 12:10 pm not 11:10pm?
Have we jumped to Australian Summer Time?

Thanks to Paul, I've had a look at my profile and discovered that I was on Pohnpei time zone (wherever that is).
No wonder I've been having trouble sleeping.

Pohnpei??? It's in Italy. Also known as Pompeii time. It came to an end in 79AD following the eruption of a rather large volcano that covered everything in ash and all the clocks stopped too!nuevoboy wrote: Thanks to Paul, I've had a look at my profile and discovered that I was on Pohnpei time zone (wherever that is).

Re: Waste bins generally!
No problem to buy a roll of plastic waste bags with handles, and hook one onto the 2 hooks which we screwed into the remains of a ridiculously silly contraption by the door (inherited from a previous owner.)
I have to say that the 5p bag charge has not only led to a change in culture,
it has greatly reduced the problem of "Witch's' knickers" around Wales.
For the uninitiated, that is what we call dead plastic carrier bags blown by the wind and trapped in trees to flap for ever more!
