No water in kitchen
Hi everyone.
Preparing our 2012 Dorset today for first outing for several weeks. All went well until I tried to run water from kitchen tap - no water! All the other taps/ shower worked fine. System drained down after last use and no recent frosts. When kitchen tap opened there are a couple of clicks and then nothing.
Any suggestions?

Does pump run when you open the kitchen tap?

It's either an airlock, try sucking the tap with your mouth - crude but works. Or the water pump is faulty.
As a side note, the rubber diaphragms in the water pumps need to be kept moist or else the pump packs up (I had to replace my pump) . I now do a 2 weekly all systems check instead of the winter drain down.

Hi,
Try turning another tap on slightly while the kitchen taps are open, if you get water it's a microswitch problem in the tap but I thought your van had a constant pressure system. More likely a blockage in the tap itself I would have thought.
Regards,
Chris

Thanks for speedy responses. Water pump clearly works with other bathroom tap and shower. Kitchen tap produces couple of clicks then silence, so assume pump not running? Am I right to assume there must be some sort of sensor at tap which is failing to initiate pump? I did try sucking on tap but with no success.

The mixer taps in these vans are just like ordinary mixer taps you have in your house just smaller, no micro switches. The water pump works off of pressure. It sounds as if your will may have to take the tap apart & replace the mixer switch 'thingy'. Obviously drain the system before you do this, or water will go 'everywhere'.

Thanks for suggestions. Problem solved after several very helpful calls to Marquis Northants. When I unscrewed filter at end of kitchen tap blocked solid with lime! Solution of white vinegar did the trick nicely. Now looking forward to getting away

You have a filter !!!! There's posh. I remember my Symphony handbook mentioning a filter and I searched everywhere for it only to phone AS in the end and be told no filters were ever fitted.

Filter is simply a little gauze at end of tap!

It is a. Whale mixer tap.. It has a small screw out cap at the end which contains the gauze that blocked.
