Hello matty

The ones I've seen that have the black plastic cover over the rear window are usually the earlier models, It's the later models that appear to have the black out glass but I cant confirm this for definite shrugg I'm sure someone will be along soon to confirm.

Our trident is a 2001 model & that has the blackout window... so it must be the older vehicles as as already mentioned that had the plastic covers

Hi Matt wave
Mine's a 92 Trooper and it has the ribbed black plastic cover over the 'window', can't say I've ever looked to see what's underneath though. I've noticed several Troopers and Tridents only a few years younger than mine don't have them so I would agree that it appears to only be the very early models that have them. Personally I prefer the cover as I've noticed that the blackout can crack or craze and look a bit untidy.
