Sussex EB mains electrics
There are three mains on/off switches next to the ECU (under the bench seat). One is for the water heater and One is for the space heater. I assumed the other is for the 13 amp sockets but it does not isolate them - when it's in the off position the sockets are still live. The handbook and wiring schematic don't identify its purpose. Does anyone know the purpose of this switch ?

The wiring diagram in the Sussex Owner's Manual shows only two MCBs used - the 10A one for cooker/hotplate should also cover the mains sockets - does it not do so?

Re: Sussex EB mains electrics
This may be for the habitation a/c unit if fitted and correctly installed by AS
On my 2012 unit the a/c was fed direct from the 6amp breaker and it tripped every time the compressor cut in. As it draws about 8-9 amp it was never a good installation and it was an original AS fitting!!
I have fitted a 20amp double pole isolator and fed it from the 10 amp MCB
Now waiting for Marquis/Dometic to replace the faulty pcb. This costs around £320 plus fitting, must be gold plated.

Hi On our Sussex EB it's for the aircon unit, it is not labelled.

Thanks I'll check it out. Never considered the aircon but it makes sense.Biker51 wrote:Hi On our Sussex EB it's for the aircon unit, it is not labelled.

Thanks Roger probably is the aircon , I'll check. Incidentally I have AS fitted aircon and used without cut outs. I'll also check the breaker capacity.roger7webster wrote:This may be for the habitation a/c unit if fitted and correctly installed by AS

Hi, It's not the MCB's I'm querying but the THREE 13 amp switched isolators. See other posts. Thanks anyway.-mojo- wrote:The wiring diagram in the Sussex Owner's Manual shows only two MCBs used - the 10A one for cooker/hotplate should also cover the mains sockets - does it not do so?

Hi, The cooker is all gas but it could be for the aircon (see other posts), or the frdge.
