Unlike the other table legs this one has a bar going across the hole , so wonder whether you can work around that with a wooden plug , it has two small screw holes in the bar so that the rubber cap can be screwed to the leg. well mine has anyway.daveH wrote:Thanks - I can always fit a wooden reducing plug in the end of the sawn off part of the leg
Sorry on re reading, you are going to cut down a longer leg to fit,( the rubber cap fits over the leg not inside it. )let us know how you get on with doing that way. ?

Re: Tripod base for table for outside use
Hi Daisy after all the advice I've received - I'll use the existing small table top and leg cut down to a suitable height. The tapered end of the leg fits to the table top - then I'll turn a hard wooden plug, one end which will fit into the table leg, the other end will be turned into a taper to fit into the tripod base. Easy eh? The only extra weight is the tripod which will store under the sofa. Can't think of any occasion when both full length legs would be needed.

Yep, that's where I said. I paid a tenner at a show three years ago (when O'Learys went to shows), what are they going for now?
