Cooker removal Peugeot Symbol
I am considering buying a Peugeot Autosleeper Symbol, it is the nearest to my requirements.
To get a permanent single bed I would want to remove the cooker, replace it with just a hob so enabling me to put a shelf with cushion level with the bench seat for the foot end of the bed.
Would this be easy enough to do?
Any advice appreciated.
TIA

Hello Tokkalosh
Glad you decided on the Symbol, We love our van, afraid I'm not very technical but I'm sure one of our other Symbol owners will help

My van cooker is a Caprice 2020.
I have remover the cooker from my Symbol for the purpose of maintenance. It was not a difficult job. Trouble is cannot remember exactly what I did.
If I remember rightly there were 4 screws to remove at the top which screwed into the wood at the sides of the cooker. The top of the cooker had to be removed after removing the burner cover plates. You can then ease the cooker out and disconnect the gas feed.
Sorry if I am a bit vague but it was several years ago that I removed the cooker and I cannot remember the details.
If you relly get stuck come back and I shall have another look at my cooker.
