Cost of retrofit Aircon
I have had a number of quotes all around the same price £1550 plus VAT (Alpinair) [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
ie about £2000 all in. Most companies need vehicle for about 3 days and 4 weeks to order parts.
I hope this helps others.

Anyone who pays £1500 to £2000 for cab air-con must be Bonkers, or very rich, or both.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but they are talking about CAB aircon here, which is not going to help with sleeping.

Is the cab isolated from the main van? If so then change "I can't sleep if it's too hot" to I can't drive if it's too hot!

I don't think there are many motorhomes with isolated cabs, but with our normal layouts cab air-con will not help at night, unless you go to sleep with the engine running.
