Hi all, Has anyone fitted the above on a Nuevo?? There are some comments re swivel seat fouling if fitted?? SHMBO has short arms and we think it would be a great help for her.

Re: Handbrake Extension On Nuevo
Hi David,
I've fitted an extension to our Nuevo, but I can't remember what make it is!!
It works very well, I have angled it out slightly, which makes it clear the seat when it swivels, no probs. I will find details an post back later.

Thanks Jim, thats the one, but I was hoping to confirm with a 2007 onwards Nuevo owner that the swivel seat doesnt foul when fitted. If thats the one Mike fitted, then its great, will probably fit one.
Thanks for your interest

Hi David,
yes, that's the one! I can recommend this. The action works backwards, (push away with your thumb to release) but that's ok. Its easy to fit, is a little "bendy", but works very well.

Hi David,
just a thought if your localish, you could come a have a look at ours fitted, before you buy one. At least then you would know if you would get on with this type. If its any help, let me know, and we could meet up somewhere.

Re: Handbrake Extension On Nuevo
I fitted the Kobra handbrake extender to my Nuevo, it gave me an extra 3 inches of much needed reach http://www.outdoorbits.com/kobran-motorhome-handbrake-extender-p-173.html and now its much easier to apply and release, and I feel more confident with handbrake hold and hill starts
P.S. It can interfere with the seat swivel a bit. Move the seat fully forward when stationary

Have you contacted a mobility centre they will supply, fit and guarantee a bespoke extender

Re: Handbrake Extension On Nuevo
This is the extender which I have fitted and I can assure you that it will lower out of the way in order to allow the seat to swivel:
http://www.prime-function.co.uk/rare-spares/frameset.htm
Pricy, but well made and can easily be moved to another vehicle without leaving any marks. Fitted in minutes.

Re: Handbrake Extension On Nuevo
I plead guilty to being the person that introduced Outdoorbits to Kobran for the franchise of said handbrake extension and had the first ever one in the UK to try out on my 2006 Autocruise Starfire EL.
Certainly on that it did foul the seats and you had to make sure it is mounted tightly on the handbrake lever but they are a great piece of kit! To swivel the seats I used to just make sure the van was in gear drop the handbrake and apply it again when the seat was rotated!

Re: Handbrake Extension On Nuevo
The Rare Spares unit works very well (I have one on my Warwick Duo), but be very careful when exiting via the driver's door, as it is easy to knock the handbrake off when swivelling off the seat and out through the door.
