Window blind on side sliding door
Can anyone advise please - we have a 1998 symphony and have a problem lowering the blind on this door. Ok raising it, but it does not go back down again. We struggled to work it back down. The fly screen comes down and back up, no problem. Anything we can do to sort this? Or can we buy a replacement roller blind? Any help will be great. Derek Bentley

Is there a small tear in it.

Actually yes there is! It is only a very small tear on one side near to the top plastic control rail. Maybe one on the other side, but not sure at the moment?

That's your problem. Try flattening and straightening the tears

Sticking blinds are a common problem, especially when damp. A tip I was given was to spray furniture polish on it while in the up position, it worked for mine, but I don't yet know how long the treatment lasts. The tears won't help though, they were probably a result of it sticking in the first place and now they will be making matters worse.

Thank you Frank for your input on our problem. We've had a busy weekend and not had chance to try the advise received so far. Hopefully we can sort this with one tip or the other. Cheers.

Re: Window Blind on Side Window Door.
We connected the blind to the fly screen and lowered both together which kept the blind taught and enabled us to lower it easier. Will try the polish treatment though.
