Hi all, just got back from a 5 day trip to st davids were my fridge on gas decided not to work,we were not level the front was diping down,do they have to be perfectly level to work? if so is there an after market gadget to attach to the fridge to make the performance better? ive got it level testing it as we speak in my drive way otherwise i will give it a service.

in my experience the fridge (mine is a 1998 manufactured Electrolux RM4201) has to be VERY level to work properly. My drive has just a few degrees of slope front to back and the fridge won't work at all at this angle. Just a rise of 4 inches at the back wheels gets it working perfectly with any source of power. This is despite the 'newer' fridges supposedly being more tolerant to being out of level. I think the answer is to just get it as level as possible and see how it performs then.
