Winterisation and the Floe Empty Winterisation and the Floe

Post by Flying High Mon Aug 12, 2013 12:05 am

Hi folks,

Looking at fitting one of these Floe units to my Symbol before the winter comes. Has anyone tried to fit and is it as easy at the advert claims.

Have done a search but no mention of drainage for the winter.

Thanks in advance, can I get a discount code on the product??

Best regards, Mike  courtesy

Mike

You may just get a response if you posted a link to one of these "Floe" things!

I for one have never even heard of them!  confused3

This is the product, take a look at the video, doesn't look that simple to me when you look at how little space there is to work in on some motorhomes......

Thanks Paul

Not watched the video..........but what's wrong with opening the drain taps?? scratch head

The only other thing I also do is remove the shower head and open all taps. Can't see the point in spending money on some 'gizzmo' which you can do with your hands for free!

My thoughts exactly. I also remove the shower head and leave the hose hanging, drain the hot tank, drain the fresh tank, run the pump until nowt comes through and then leave the taps open. Before I leave the taps open, I'll blow down the shower hose (with the shower taps open) to blow back any residual water.

If your Symbol's water system is anything like my Symphony's, you'll be hard pressed to find access to fit those adaptors.
Keep the £48 in your pocket - or send it to me if you feel that you must get rid of it content

Thanks folks,

That answers the question and I will save my money. up!

I just thought that with a little residue water laying in the pump after last years hard winter it might be a good idea, but my thoughts are unfounded as you say if you leave the taps open.  Cheer's guys. allthumbz

Hi there,

I agree with the "keep your money in your pocket" advice.allthumbz

Drain down in accordance with the handbook and you should have no problems.wave

Also, I have discovered that almost all products that are sold under the "Peas of mine!" banner aren't worth having!look here

Best regards,
