Hello from Auckland, New Zealand Empty Hello from Auckland, New Zealand

Post by Southern-Buyer Fri Jul 26, 2013 11:58 am

My wife came up with the idea of traveling the US in a motor home 10 years ago. We started small, renting several camper vans in New Zealand over several years. As retirement loomed and a daughter went to live in the USA we took the plunge and bought a Tiffin Phaeton 40 ' Motorhome, and have loved the experience, visiting the US a couple of times a year over the last 4 years. Given it's size, it will never come home with us. So we've been looking for a suitable Motorhome and think an AutoSleepers Winchcombe (also known as a Worcester) with it's rear bathroom would suit us very well. We're planning to order one for delivery in the UK in 2014 and keep it in UK/Europe for up to 12 months and using it on a couple of 2-3 month trips before bringing it home. We found the Tiffin Owners Forum extremely helpful in firming up our decision as to the model best suited for us in the US, and it's members enormously supportive when we have encountered issues during its ownership. And hopefully we helped other members with some of our own learnings. We're happy to give any ASOF members advice if they are thinking of a US Motorhome adventure and look forward to being active members of this forum. Robert & Margi

Hi Robert & Margi,

Hi from a very sunny Eastbourne ( UK not Wellington!) allthumbz

The attached topic, might be of interest & give you contact with a fellow kiwi hugegrins

There are quite a few Auto Sleepers in NZ & ! believe that AS have recently set up a Dealership there as well.

We get out to Auckland quite often now that we have family out there, so maybe next time we can meet up with you.
