Door mirror amber indicator bulb
Anyone know where I can get the capless amber 21watt indicator door mirror bulb for a Marquis Lancashire Neuvo. I have tried unsuccessfully on line Amazon / Ebay. Marquis Plymouth the supplying dealer was useless and sent me to the Peugeot commercial dealership who they assured me would have one, you guessed it, they didn't. Tried about 4 motor factors without joy. How come there are probably 10s of thousands of Peugeot/Fiat based motor homes and commercials all using this mirror that I cannot get a bulb? Does everyone else just give up or fit an illegal clear bulb as above dealership did? One of you guys will have the answer----I hope.

Re: Door mirror amber indicator bulb
Hi, I appreciate your time and effort posting a reply but unfirtunately they are not 5 watt bulbs they are not only too small but much to low wattage. I have found any number of the 5 watt variety but finding it impossible to get the correct W16W 18 to 21 watt bulb the handbook specifies. I have tried a dealership, they looked at me like I was trying to buy moon rock! Oh well onwards and forwards!

Re: Door mirror amber indicator bulb
According to Autobulbsdirect it is a 955 bulb but they show it as clear. Perhaps you could buy the amber paint seperately.

Finally found a supplier on ebay Seller: mylitco ( 39927 )
On the basis that they are obviously as rare as rocking horse s**t one of you may be interested in the supplier. Complete waste of time talking to Marquis, Auto Sleeper or Peugeot, think I am the only motor home owner in the world that has door mirrors with indicators fitted!!

The supplier on EBay has a lot of negative feedback so I would steer clear. Found this supplier and works out at £2.76 for a pair with free delivery.

Hi,
Hadn't noticed negative feedback, and on the basis that they were the only ones that seemd to stock the bulb and delivery was swift and free I am completely satified with thier service. I spent hours looking for these and most others turned out to be either clear or the wrong base size.

Mine is 2011 and very slightly different to the latest but I do beleive the door mirrors are the same. We intend spending a lot of time abroad next year and don't want to fall foul of the local law for the case of a wrong colour indicator!

Maybe, but if you knew how many I found that were supposed to be right that on delivery were either clear or had the wrong base!!!!, I am perfectly happy that my supplier showed a pic and spec that I wanted and now makes the indicator "legal"

Re: Door mirror amber indicator bulb
Hi,
there are two Philips screws on the inside of the outer edge of the mirror (if that makes sense!) You might need to gently push or move (if electric) the mirror to see them.
If this link works you can see the two screw holes

Yes I did! All repaired and 3,500 miles done - not everyday you get 50% off a brand new motorhome ;)

Thanks very much for that. Mine are electric so should be abe to adjust the mirror so I can see the screws. Will have a look over the weekend. I take it the indicator bulb shown in the earlier post is correct for this mirror?

Re: Door mirror amber indicator bulb
Managed to adjust the electric mirror so I could remove the 2 Phillips screws and removed the lens unit.
I cannot however work out how the bulb holder comes out. I have tried to twist it and gently prise it out but it seems quite stuck in. Can anyone who has done this help please?

Re: Door mirror amber indicator bulb
Hi MoggyMinor1966,
My replacement bulbs arrived this morning from here Indicator Bulb type = 921A W2-1x9-5D.
You will see from the following photos I did't need the orange tint as the lens is coloured orange already, but they fit and work fine. Not sure how legal the markings are but really don't think that matters.
As for removing - turn through 90 degrees anti-clockwise as you look at the back and pull it out. There is a seal on there so yours may have just deteriorated and become a bit "sticky"?
Hope this helps.

Thanks very much for the clear photos. My only concern is that the factory fitted ones are marked as 16W whereas the aftermarket ones are 21W. I still find it hard to believe that Peugeot dealers do not stock them.
I intend to ask at my local dealer and see what they say.
Just had another look and see the same firm do 16W bulbs so I will get these in clear.

Re: Door mirror amber indicator bulb
I hadn't spotted the different wattage, reckon the ones you are going to get will be superior to mine, but they are only spares, and 5 watts won't make a huge difference. Just as long as you have the orange bit on the lens. This weeks mission is to try and produce a definitive list of all the other bulbs for a spares pack up, if I achieve it I will post it.

Re: Door mirror amber indicator bulb
I have already checked out the rear lights and the reversing and flasher bulbs are the standard 21W clear bulbs and the tail/stop light is the standard dual filament bulb.
Not so sure about the front ones as you need to get in the rear of the headlight units.
